We all only have one day at a time, each morning I gave her one course of “You are my Sunshine” then I would ask, God gave us another day what do you want to do? I was always so happy that she woke up and we could start another day, from birth her spine always gave her pain but she never complained. We grew up together and were life long partners in life Sharon gave me five wonderful children and many grandchildren and some great grandchildren. Each of the fifty eight years were filled with joy, the sadness that we tried not to remember. I was not in any way ready for Sharon to pass away at 8:30 am before breakfast, she got up and fixed her tea and toast which she did not eat, said she didn't feel good because she had been having a problem with acid reflux and that’s what she thought was the problem. Fifteen minutes latter she passed away her heart just gave up, so quickly she was taken from all of us that loved her. She was a true Lady in all ways I loved her and will miss Sharon greatly. She was Truly my Sunshine each and ever day I look forward to spending my day with her. My sons and daughter and grandsons have been my strength to go on in life and look forward to be with her again. You are now in God’s hands and you should not have and more pain.
I Love you dear,

Sharon M Dawkins My Sunshine and my First Lady.
Saw your blog on a car today and decided to visit. What a beautiful, heart felt tribute to your wife. I have only been married 20 years so far and am battling cancer of my tongue. I can only hope that if God decides he needs me home that i will have left this beautiful of a mark on my jusband and our three beautiful children
ReplyDeleteI thank you for your heart felt comment, Sharon was a Lady that always gave and seldom ask for help, the last 12 years were very painful for her as she was hit in the back when a box of paper towels was pushed over the top rail of the loft at the department store where she worked.
ReplyDeleteWe all loved Sharon and greatly miss her. God be with her always she has no pain of life anymore.
With All My Love
Maurice Dawkins, Husband
